<FONT face=Arial><FONT size=2> <DIV><FONT size=4><FONT face="Arial Black">Warmongers vs peacemakers - a reframing.</FONT></FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT face="Arial Black" size=4>by Carol Wolman</FONT></DIV></FONT> <DIV><FONT size=2></FONT>&nbsp;</DIV> <DIV><STRONG><FONT size=2>Psalm 47&nbsp;<EM>&nbsp;&nbsp;<SUP id=en-KJV-14628>2</SUP>For the LORD most high is terrible; He is a great King over&nbsp;ALL the earth.&nbsp;</EM></FONT><EM><FONT size=2>&nbsp;<SUP id=en-KJV-14629>3</SUP>He shall subdue the people under us, and the&nbsp;NATIONS under our feet.</FONT> </EM></STRONG></DIV> <DIV><STRONG><EM><FONT size=2></FONT></EM></STRONG>&nbsp;</DIV> <DIV><STRONG>Some pundits tell us that we are in trouble because of religious extremists.&nbsp; They point to the Israeli militants who claim greater Israel, the Christian fundamentalists in the US who support them, and the Muslim jihadis.&nbsp; All of these are fighting viciously at the behest of a deity whom they call God the almighty.</STRONG></DIV> <DIV><STRONG></STRONG>&nbsp;</DIV> <DIV><STRONG>But the problem is not religion.&nbsp; </STRONG><STRONG>Some&nbsp;religious extremists are peacemakers.&nbsp; Jesus, Gandhi, MLK, the monks who immolated themselves to stop the Vietnam war, Rachel Corrie- the list is endless.&nbsp; These are people who are willing to&nbsp;die for the good of humanity, but would never kill anyone. </STRONG></DIV> <DIV><STRONG></STRONG>&nbsp;</DIV> <DIV><STRONG>War benefits the rich and powerful.&nbsp; The little people in every country are the ones who suffer.&nbsp; God of the Bible is for everyone, in every country.&nbsp; He is for peace and for the little people.&nbsp; He tells us to choose life.&nbsp; His greeting&nbsp;to us is "my peace be with you". &nbsp;He sent us His son, the Prince of Peace.&nbsp; Jesus always advocated for the little people and challenged the rulers, with words.&nbsp;</STRONG></DIV> <DIV><STRONG></STRONG>&nbsp;</DIV> <DIV><STRONG>It's not necessary to be a Christian in order to be a peacemaker.&nbsp; Jesus gave a special blessing to peacemakers, as children of God (Matthew 5: 9).</STRONG></DIV> <DIV><STRONG></STRONG>&nbsp;</DIV> <DIV><STRONG>The deity worshiped by the warmongers is not Jesus or His Father, whatever they may claim.&nbsp; They worship Moloch, mammon, the god of money and profit.&nbsp; The warmongers are in league with the corporations which profit from war- the munitions makers, the aerospace industry, the energy corporations.&nbsp; These corporations, called the beast in the Book of Revelation, own the warmaking politicians.&nbsp; </STRONG></DIV> <DIV><STRONG></STRONG>&nbsp;</DIV> <DIV><STRONG>The latter are pious, and depend on the false prophets to hoodwink the people into supporting them.&nbsp; &nbsp;The false prophets have always done this by promising pie in the sky and threatening hell for those who do not follow the party line.&nbsp;&nbsp; Revelation shows us how the beast, the dragon and the false, warmongering prophet act together to enslave the people.&nbsp; We are watching this happen in the US today.</STRONG></DIV> <DIV><STRONG></STRONG>&nbsp;</DIV> <DIV><STRONG>What we need now are extreme peacemakers- lots of people all over the world who are willing to challenge the beast, the dragon and the false prophet.&nbsp; We stand for life.&nbsp; We are linked together via the internet, and via the periodic worldwide peace marchs.&nbsp; We are nonviolent, we fight with words.&nbsp; </STRONG></DIV> <DIV><STRONG></STRONG>&nbsp;</DIV> <DIV><STRONG>Our role model, our teacher, our&nbsp;leader&nbsp;is the Prince of Peace.</STRONG></DIV> <DIV><STRONG></STRONG>&nbsp;</DIV> <DIV><STRONG>This is the final&nbsp;battle, this spiritual battle of Armageddon, as the final battle for the life of the planet, between the forces of plunder and death- the warmongers, and the forces of truth, justice and life- the peacemakers.</STRONG></DIV> <DIV><STRONG></STRONG>&nbsp;</DIV> <DIV><STRONG>In the name of the Prince of Peace,&nbsp; Carol Wolman</STRONG></DIV> <DIV><STRONG></STRONG>&nbsp;</DIV></FONT>
