The Peripatetic Pope by Carol Wolman

The Peripatetic Pope by Carol Wolman

Mark 16: 15  And He said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.

Romans 10:15  How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace.

Pope John Paul may be on his deathbed.

Whatever one may think of the Roman Catholic Church, there is no doubt that this pope did his best to fulfill the command of Jesus to His disciples.  He went everywhere in the world, preaching the gospel of peace.

He went to Communist bloc nations and helped stir the people into the peaceful overthrow of the Communist governments.

He went to Jerusalem several times on peacemaking missions.

He was a vigorous opponent of the invasion of Iraq, and confronted Blair and Bush repeatedly on its wrongness.

His moral leadership against the Christofascist Bush, whom the pope thought might be the antichrist, has been very important in the battle of Armageddon, to overthrow the corporate beast which is strangling our beloved planet.  Who will replace John Paul?

The new pope will be elected by a convocation of cardinals from all over the world.  Will this international body be able to stand up to the international neofascists, who right now are doing their best to destroy Kofi Annan and the UN?

During World War II, a powerful group within the Vatican, Opus Dei, helped key Nazis such as Eichmann escape from Germany.  Is there still a strong pro nazi group in the Vatican?  If so, it is probably in league with the neofascist Bush regime.

Let us pray for John Paul II's miraculous recovery.  Let us pray for the cardinals that will choose the next pope, that they will be guided by the Holy Spirit, the Prince of Peace.

In His name,  Carol Wolman
