"Love your neighbor"campaign for the Holy Land by Carol Wolman

Hosea 14 ¹O Israel, return unto the LORD thy God; for thou hast fallen by thine iniquity.

The state of Israel has been guilty of great crimes against its neighbors, the Palestinians- killing, razing houses, uprooting olive trees, preventing access to jobs, schools, medical care.  The National Council of Churches

just started a campaign similar to the one it waged against against South African apartheid, urging members to divest themselves of Israeli stocks and bonds.

 

Here's another suggestion- why not plaster the separation wall with signs that say "Love your neighbor" in Hebrew, Arabic and English?  We could distribute t-shirts, bumper stickers, pins, etc.

Mark 12 (King James Version)   ²⁹And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord: ³⁰And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.    ³¹And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.
