What is God's law? by Carol Wolman

George Bush and his followers would have us believe that they represent God, and that the laws they put forth represent His law.  It is easy to put this impression to the test.  God's law in the Old Testament is the Ten Commandments.  Thou shalt not kill, thou shalt not steal, thou shalt not bear false witness, commit adultery, or covet what is thy neighbor's.  These are the last five.

I don't know about adultery, but Bush and his laws and decrees have broken the other four many times over.  There is no prohibition against abortion, by the way.

Jesus simplified the above to "Love God and love your neighbor."   Bush does the opposite.  He professes to love God, while he stirs up hatred against neighboring countries- since all countries are neighbors now- and sows fear and hatred at home.

It's very simple.  The right-wing Christians are mesmerized by false prophets, and are going far astray from the teachings of Jesus and the Bible.  This needs to be pointed out, over and over.

The law of the LORD is perfect,
refreshing the soul;
The decree of the LORD is trustworthy,
giving wisdom to the simple.
Psalm 19: 8

In the name of the Prince of Peace,   Carol Wolman
